Baked Stuffed Shells

Ingredients:

8 Jumbo Shells
1 ½ cup tomato puree
1 tsp crushed basil
1 tsp oregano
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar (optional)
½ lb lean ground beef
1 small onion chopped
1 minced garlic clove
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed, and drained
2 tblsp parmesan cheese
½ cup cottage cheese

              Cook shells 20 minutes, drain. In small bowl combine tomato puree, basil, oregano, salt, sugar, and set aside. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Brown beef with onion and garlic in a skillet, add 1/3 cup of tomato mixture, spinach, cheese and ¼ tsp salt. Then fill each shell with the meat mixture or a ¼ cup and place in a 9x13 baking pan. You may need to grease the pan a little bit so the shells don’t stick. Combine the rest of the meat mixture with remaining sauce and pour over shells. Cover will foil. Bake 40 to 45 minutes till hot and bubbly.
